Threshold hallway furniture (2017)
The entrence is the first room you meet in a home. But often this area is dominated by shoes, outerwear and other accessories. The entrance, often a narrow hallway and limited in space, can be a challenge to perform the daily routine of getting out the door in the morning or coming home uncloaking and taking off footwear.
This piece of furniture provides both storage for shoes and a chest for gloves, scarves, keys, bicycle lights etc. It is also upholstered on the top for seating so you can comfortably sit an tie your shoelaces.
Prototype made with recycled textile from Kirkby, oiled oakwood and cobber rod.
