Arch Side Table (2011)
The construction of this side table is made of 3 equal pieces of bent veneer. Each piece is casted in a mold in which the veneer is bent and twisted 120°. The 3 pieces are then glued together and this arch structure occurs. This is a structure with references to vaults and arches in architecture.
With a 8 mm glass table top which rests on this construction.
This prototype is made in oiled oak veneer. The prototype is made by cabinetmaker Kasper Liisberg Poulsen and designed for the exhibition Skud På Stammen.
