Brick shelf system

Brick Shelf System (2014)

This idea occurred with the desire to design a simple bookcase in modules that can be stacked and therefore is used in several situations.  A simple shelf in modules that can be stacked and therefore is flexible and can be used for multiple purposes, with no screws or hinges. The legs are lowered slightly from the frame and gives space for a new modulets be locked on top by stacking. Two to three modules can be stacked as a bookshelf, while two paralleled modules with a plate on top can function as a work desk with storage space at its sides.

The prototype is made of solid oak and veneered chipboard. Prototype made by cabinetmaker Anne Mette Stærmose Stensig.

Designed for the exhibition Skud På Stammen.
