Biscuit Chair (2019)
This process started with a desire to make a veneer bend in two directions, yet along the way a new idea unfolded. Jonas was inspired by certain laminated chairs from 1950-60ies which has a bend in more than one direction and he wanted to make a contemporary chair using this technique. In the process of designing the construction of the chair itself between backrest and legs, this biscuit solution came to him, and became an important detail which made it possible to make a knock down chair enabling for easy packaging and transport. Two prototype versions have been developed in order to try out different solutions.
The Biscuit chairs are made of oil treated ash wood and aniline leather.
Prototype made at The Danish Art Workshop and supported by Danish Arts Foundation.
