TIME, TACT & TONE, cabinetmakers autumn exhibition 2021

The Cabinetmakers Autumn Exhibition are exhibiting at Sophienholm Kunsthal in Lyngby. “Time, Tact and Tone” is the theme for the 40th anniversary exhibition. Jonas has designed and produced the piece “Sit Up Straight” – taking a more disciplinary approach to furniture design and its functions.
Finn juhl award 2020
A great individual recognition within Danish furniture design is the Finn Juhl prize, awarded each year by the Wilhelm Hansen Foundation.
In 2020, the prize was awarded to the architect/artist duo Ben & Sebastian and Jonas Lyndby Jensen. Board member Steffen Aarfing’s motivational speech for the presentation (only in Danish): CLICK HERE

Held in the old Tivoli Gardens in the heart of Copenhagen, this years SE exhibiton was magically set in Poul Henningsen and Gudmund Nyeland Brandt’s Parreterre Garden.Among perennials, flower beds and trickling water Jonas has contributed with an illusionary piece he calls Anamorph Sand Dune Chair. A dialogue between an anamorph chair and it’s own reflection.
Whiteout, cabinetmakers autumn exhibition 2010
Jonas has attended the annual censored Cabinetmakers Autumn Exhibition as a guest exhibitor. The chair “Snowshoe” is designed for the exhibition themed “Whiteout” and has been exhibited at Ordrupgaard Museum, London, Riga and Tokyo from 2010-11.
Branch Out Exhibition 2010
Jonas has for several years participated in the project Skud På Stammen (Branch Out Exhibition).
This is an initiative from Copenhagen Technical School (NEXT), pairing cabinetmaker apprentices with professional furniture designers. A project to introduce apprentices to designers by inviting to collaborate within a themed exhibition. Megingjörð daybed, with a laminated back, designed in 2010 by Jonas, is made in collaboration with cabinetmaker apprentice Heine Ladefoged and upholstery apprentice Helene Høier.
